Hola, my name is Zula Rodriguez. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. My family is from Spain and I was raised in a multicultural environment. I have a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in banking and finances. My husband and I moved to the United States 27 years ago, and came to the city of Charlotte, NC, a place we fell in love with.

I started teaching 26 years ago, in small private and diverse schools while I was studying English, and I loved the feeling of sharing my love for languages and cultures. We also lived in Brazil for 3 years, where I became fluent in the language and learned more about their culture as well.

I teach Spanish at all levels, primarily to high school and middle school, but I also tutor anyone that wants to improve their language skills. Additionally, I teach at preschool centers using a unique approach where having fun in a safe and respectful environment is a key.  I have taught children from 6 months to 8 years old, using music, storytelling, and games askey  tools to better engage them in the language.

I would be truly excited to start working with your children, and I would be very thankful for the opportunity to assist in your child's education. I strongly believe that appealing to a child's natural hunger for knowledge and working at their own pace with the right guidance makes for better and happier students.

I enjoy reading, baking, and spending quality time with my family and friends. My love for languages and cultures and the experience that I have due to the fact that I have lived in 3 different countries gives me a better vision of what the world can bring and how I can share this with my students.
