The Bank of America 400 weekend begins with this fall favorite and you don’t want to miss it. See what makes chemistry cool when you step into Lug Nut’s Laboratory, powered by BASF. The interactive scavenger hunt makes learning fun while the robotics teams will launch curiosity to the next level. Meet race car drivers and check out race cars up close.

The Floating Classroom program on Lake Norman is an immersive, on-the-water learning experience designed for students of all ages. While aboard the floating classroom, students will participate in hands-on scientific activities. Lessons focus on ecology, watershed science, conservation, and environmental stewardship. This field trip will include 2 hours aboard the River Keepers Floating classroom, an hour long bring-your-own-lunch, and a 2 hour lesson on Energy Production and Matter at The Duke Energy Explorium. FREE for students enrolled in Mrs. Price's Tues/Thurs class. Limited spots available for additional students and chaperones. $20-$30. Ages 7 and up. Registration closes October 23rd, 2026.

Camp Flintlock will be setting up a Colonial Encampment right at the Monroe Location, bringing hands-on activities and living history demonstrations directly to us. Registration required. Attendance is free to current students. Non-enrolled guests are $31 per child. Parents are free. Beeswax candle making and mini flag making are extra cost. Please register.

This field trip includes a timed entry to the Planetarium show, "Magic Treehouse Space Mission" and a guided program through their new exhibit, "Built to last".
